Baby & Toddler Swim Programs

Gentle Introduction to Water

Our baby and toddler swim programs are designed to gently familiarise little ones with the water in a calm, nurturing environment. These early experiences help lay the foundation for water confidence and physical coordination while also allowing babies to explore movement in new and exciting ways. With expert instructors guiding each session, parents can enjoy quality bonding time while their children discover the joy of swimming.

Bonding & Social Skills

In addition to the physical benefits, swimming at an early age offers important social development opportunities. Babies and toddlers learn alongside peers in a relaxed group setting, encouraging social interaction, sharing and listening skills. These sessions are as much about building connection as they are about introducing foundational swim techniques, making them a valuable part of a child’s early development.

This individualised support encourages consistent improvement while making sure every child feels safe and included in their lessons.

    • Mondays from 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
    • Saturdays from 8.30 am – 2.00 pm
    • Sundays – Closed

Please note the above schedule might be subject to change depending on the season, holidays or any other circumstances, so it's always a good idea to check our website or contact us directly to confirm the schedule.

Also, class times may vary depending on the level, age group and the availability of the instructors, so it's recommended to contact us for information on the specific class times that suit you best.

  • Are there any age limits for taking swimming lessons?

No, we offer swimming instruction for all ages.

Our baby swimming lessons are ideal for introducing your little one to water at an early age. As they grow, we offer classes for children aged two and over. These classes are designed to teach the basics of swimming and water safety in a safe and supportive environment.

For older children we offer classes to suit all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Our goal is to help every student progress, regardless of the level they're at. For adults and experienced swimmers, we also offer squad classes to help further develop skills.

  • How do I know what class is appropriate for my child?

At Boambee Swim School, our instructors are trained to assess the skill level of each child and place them in the appropriate class. They will consider factors such as the child's age, swimming experience and comfort level in the water.

If your child is new to swimming, they will be placed in a beginner class where they will learn the basics of swimming such as floating, kicking and arm movements. As they progress, they will move to more advanced classes where they will learn more advanced swimming techniques such as different strokes, diving and endurance training.

If your child is already comfortable in the water and has some swimming experience, they will be placed in a more advanced class where they will continue to develop their swimming skills and improve their endurance.

If you have any questions or concerns about what class is appropriate for your child, please contact the school. Our staff will be happy to assist you in determining the best class for your child based on their skill level and comfort in the water.

  • What should I bring to the class?

To ensure that you or your child have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible, we recommend bringing the following items to class:

    • A swimsuit - this is the most important item to bring, as you or your child will need to be in the water during the class
    • A towel - to dry off after the class
    • Goggles - if you or your child have them, goggles can help protect the eyes from chlorine and make it easier to see underwater
    • A water bottle - to stay hydrated during the class
    • A change of clothes - for after the class
  • How often should I take classes?

We recommend taking classes at least once a week for the best results. Regular practice will help you or your child to retain and build upon the skills learned in class. However, we also offer more frequent classes for those who want to progress faster.
